Sakura had the ball. Ino had it for a while, but Hinata managed to trip her up, and now she had the ball and she was running desperately for the other team's goal. Tenten was gaining on her, though, and Naruto knew that she could run faster. "Run, Sakura!" he screamed. "Come on, this isn't like you! Run faster!"
Sasuke suddenly leaned forward. "Sakura!" he bellowed, and Sakura stumbled, turning wide eyes on the stands even as she kept running. "If you don't win, I'll kill you!"
Naruto, Lee, and Iruka recoiled from Sasuke, staring at the psychotic boy. He glared at the girl on the feild, as if he hadn't even noticed.
For a moment that stretched out like eternity, Sakura stared at the stands, ball in hand and eyes wide. Then a slow evil smile crossed her features, and she dug in her heels.
"Whaaa!" Naruto cried happily, shaking his pom-poms violently. "There's the Sakura I know and fear!"
She jolted backwards, sidestepping Tenten and shouldering her to the ground. Tenten hit the grass and bounced before tumbling, and Sakura spun with her momentum, casting a look back at the opposition. Ino was screaming her head off in triumph and Kurenai was looking determined as she moved to intercept the pink menace. Sakura didn't flinch. She clutched the ball tightly and charged down the field, her eyes watching Kurenai. When the teacher drew close enough to tackle her, Sakura turned the tables and tackled Kurenai. With an easy roll, she left the woman on the ground and turned to face her last enemy.
Later, everyone would swear they could see the sweat break out on Hinata's forehead. She sidestepped politely, and waved with a nervous smile. Sakura grinned viciously and sprinted the last twenty yards. She bounced the football off the turf and began to cackle manically. Sai snapped pictures for the yearbook, muttering something about nominating Sakura for 'most likely to become a dominatrix'.
Naruto bounced enthusiastically. "Awesome, awesome, awesome!" he chanted. He turned and threw his arms around Sasuke.
"Don't touch me," the boy ground into his shoulder, and Naruto jumped back, chuckling nervously.
"Say cheese!" Sai exclaimed, and snapped a picture.
"What the hell!" Naruto yelped. "I wasn't ready, you idiot, and no one even said cheese!"
He offered one of those annoying vacant smiles. "Then, everyone, gather together." Once they had -- grudgingly -- done so, he lifted the camera. "Alright, ready? Say, 'No! They be stealing my penis!'"
"Che -- what the fuck!"
